Privacy Policy
IRONFRAME is a calisthenics and strength-training app built to run entirely on your device. This policy explains what happens to your information. The short version: we don't collect it.
At a glance
- No tracking — no tracking identifiers, and no "Ask App Not to Track" prompt, because there is nothing to track.
- No ads — no advertising and no sponsors.
- Nothing shared or sold — no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, no data brokers.
- On your device only — no accounts and no servers of ours; your data has nowhere else to go.
- Encrypted at rest — stored encrypted on your device, with the key held in the iOS Keychain.
- No account needed — no sign-up, email or password.
- Works fully offline — nothing is ever quietly sent anywhere.
- You're in control — edit or erase everything at any time; deleting the app removes it all.
Who we are
IRONFRAME ("the app", "we", "us") is published by PositiveSquare. If you have any question about this policy or your privacy, contact us at
.
Our approach — on-device by default
IRONFRAME has no user accounts and no servers of our own. Everything you enter or log — your profile and body metrics, your training plan, your logged workouts, nutrition, water, bodyweight and cardio sessions — is stored only on your device.
That data is held in an encrypted on-device store (AES-GCM), with the encryption key kept in the iOS Keychain and protected while your device is locked. We do not receive, see, or store any of it.
We run no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party marketing or data-broker SDKs. Because your data never reaches us, there is nothing for us to sell, share, rent, or lose.
What the app stores on your device
Depending on which features you use, the app saves the following locally, and only locally:
- Profile & body metrics you enter — such as an optional display name, height, weight, age, sex and training goal — used to build your plan and calculate calorie and macro targets.
- Training data — your generated plans, logged sets (reps, holds, weights, how a set felt), progress and recovery.
- Nutrition & water — foods you log and water you record against your daily targets.
- Bodyweight history — weigh-ins you record over time.
- Cardio sessions — runs and walks, including duration, distance, pace and (if you use live tracking) the GPS route, plus heart-rate and calorie figures measured during a workout.
You can edit or delete this information in the app at any time. "Start from scratch" in Profile erases your plan, history and profile from the device, and deleting the app removes all of its local data along with its encryption key.
Information handled by Apple, not by us
Some features rely on Apple services. Where they do, the information is handled by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy policy, not ours:
- Purchases & subscriptions. IRONFRAME Pro is sold through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Apple processes your payment and manages your subscription. We never see your payment-card details; we only receive from Apple whether your subscription or trial is currently active, so the app can unlock Pro features.
- Apple Health (optional, write-only). If you turn on Apple Health, the app writes your finished workouts to Health. IRONFRAME only writes and never reads your Health data. Anything in Apple Health is governed by Apple's privacy protections and your Health permissions.
- Notifications (local). Reminders and timer alerts are scheduled on your device. They are delivered locally and are not sent from, or through, any server of ours.
Device permissions the app may ask for
Each of these is optional — decline it and the app still works, minus that one feature:
- Camera — to scan a nutrition label. The image is read on your device using Apple's on-device text recognition. The photo is not stored by the app and is never uploaded.
- Location (while using the app) — to measure distance, pace and route during a run or walk. Location is used only during an active session, stays on your device, and is never sent to us.
- Notifications — to show training reminders and rest/hold timer alerts, all scheduled locally.
- Apple Health — write-only, as described above.
Analytics, tracking & advertising
There are none. IRONFRAME does not track you across apps or websites, shows no ads, and includes no advertising or analytics identifiers — which is why the app does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Children
IRONFRAME is intended for a general fitness audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children — and, as described above, we do not collect personal information from anyone.
Your control and your rights
Because your data lives on your device and we hold none of it on any server, you are always in direct control: view it, change it, or erase it in the app whenever you like.
Privacy laws such as the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights over personal data that a company holds about you (for example, to access, correct or delete it). As we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing on our side to retrieve or erase on your behalf — you already have it in full on your device. For any information handled by Apple (payments, Health, notification delivery), please exercise those rights with Apple.
Data security
Your on-device data is encrypted at rest with a key stored in the iOS Keychain and further protected by iOS file protection while the device is locked. The security of that data also depends on you keeping your device and its passcode / Face ID / Touch ID secure. No method of storage is ever completely infallible, but keeping everything on your device — and never transmitting it — removes whole categories of risk.
International users
Your data stays on your device, so we carry out no international transfers of it. Any information handled by Apple is processed by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above, and we'll flag any significant change within the app. Your continued use of IRONFRAME after an update means you accept the revised policy.
